There are only two options to a couple things in life. Size and age are topics that fall into this logic. Over time our body shapes change, but there remain only two options, our clothes fit or they don’t. Same thing goes for age you’re either dead or alive. When making the most of life there’s no need for numbers in either scenario. No one else cares if the label in your pants reads 2 or 12. Either your pants fit or they don’t. Whether you’re 4 or 94, if you’re breathing you’re still alive. Sizes and shapes, ages and stages are all part of life. We start small and young, and grow big and mature (as I like to call it). Infancy to adulthood, tiny to full grown.
One needn’t worry about being too thick or thin, too young or too vintage to be happy and alive. Happiness looks good on everybody and has no expiration date. The quality of our lives’ is far more important than the number of days we are on this Earth. Being preoccupied by the size of our waist bands or dates on the calendar detract from the fullness of our hearts, and the richness of our lives.
The bottom line is to value who and how you are during each stage of your life. Change or personal improvements are choices that can aid in our sustained happiness, but some things just are. None of us know how many candles will be on our final birthday cake, so we’re better off not getting caught up on the numbers. There will only ever be two options, unless we’re talking about cake, in which case you should have your cake and eat it too!
